The client purchased this Mercer Island home after consulting with Cornice Construction about its remodeling potential. The east facing front elevation had no access to the home. The main entrance was up a full flight of stairs from the south side which accessed the home through the bedroom wing. The home had taken poor advantage of views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier. Cornice Construction removed a three story stone fireplace that was located in the center of the home which provided the area needed for the new East elevation main foyer and opened up the main floor with views from the rearranged Kitchen, Dining, Living & Family rooms. The upper floor Master bedroom, second bedroom and hall bath were reconfigured into a Master Bedroom, walk-in closet and Master bath suite.

Cornice Construction loves working with its clients and is honored when they continue to include us in their projects. Since completing this home, the client has purchased another property and asked Cornice Construction to assist them in making some minor changes.
